On February 22, 2026 the shocking news spread to family and friends. There had been a bad accident, and Matt had gone home to be with Jesus. Among Matt’s personal belongings, we found a notebook with various things written. One was this question, “Can I tell others to follow me as I follow Christ?” referencing the verse in 1 Corinthians 11. As we process the loss, we want Matt’s legacy to live on.
